FAQ

Can I redact several areas on different PDF pages?

Yes. Draw multiple areas directly on the page previews or add one coordinate area to selected page ranges. Every saved area appears in a review list before processing.

Does PDF Help only place black boxes over the text?

No. Pages containing area redactions are rasterized into new page images before the black regions are applied, so the original selectable text on those pages is not retained.

Can I find and redact repeated text automatically?

Yes. Switch to Find text, enter up to several terms and choose whether to redact matched words or the complete line. Scanned pages use OCR when no usable text layer is found.

What should I verify before sharing a redacted PDF?

Search for removed terms, try copying around every region, inspect metadata and attachments, and open the result in a second viewer. High-risk documents should receive an independent review.

Are pages without redaction areas changed?

Area mode rasterizes only pages that contain a saved redaction area. Other pages remain PDF pages, but you should still inspect the entire output for sensitive metadata, annotations or attachments.
